Procurement Officer

Overview

On behalf of our client, a long-established engineering company that provides design and manufacturing solutions to the dairy industry, we are seeking to recruit a Procurement Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia.

Role Overview:

The Procurement Officer will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and coordination of all materials and services required for the manufacturing of dairy machinery and industrial equipment. The role ensures timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards, supplier compliance, and alignment with company policies.

 

Responsibilities

·       Process purchase requests from BOMs, warehouse levels, and departments.

·       Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers (local & international).

·       Issue and follow up on Purchase Orders (imports & local).

·       Support inventory control and resolve delivery issues.

·       Ensure timely procurement for production schedules.

·       Maintain accurate purchasing records and reports.

·       Identify cost-saving opportunities and support process improvements.

 

Requirements and Desirable Skills:

·       Diploma/ Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.

·       2+years procurement experience (manufacturing/industrial preferred).

·       Knowledge of mechanical/industrial components is an advantage.

·       Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

·       Strong MS Office (especially Excel).

·       Fluency in Greek & English.

·       Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
