On behalf of our client, a leading law firm in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit an Employment Law Advocate to join their expanding team. This role is suited to a motivated legal professional who is eager to handle a broad range of employment-related matters, support high-quality client advisory work, and contribute to the firm’s continued growth in this specialised practice area.
Role Overview
The Employment Law Advocate will play a key role in providing advice and representation across the full spectrum of employment matters. The role requires a lawyer with strong analytical ability, and the confidence to deliver practical, high-quality solutions that support clients in achieving favourable outcomes. The successful candidate will contribute to case strategy, client advisory work, and the firm’s broader commitment to excellence in labour and employment law.
Key Responsibilities
· Advising on all aspects of employment relationships, complex employment law issues and procedures, including migration procedures.
· Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts and HR-related policies.
· Conducting due diligence reviews on employment law issues and procedures, including migration processes, and drafting reports.
· Conducting thorough investigations into client matters, including performing legal research, analysis, and sourcing expert opinions.
· Representing clients in court/tribunal proceedings or other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and before competent authorities.
Requirements and Desirable Skills
· A Bachelor’s degree in Law.
· A Master’s degree will be considered an advantage.
· Member of the Cyprus Bar Association.
· A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Employment Law or related practice areas.
· Outstanding research and advisory skills.
· Outstanding drafting and negotiation skills.
· Ability to think critically and approach challenges with a fresh perspective.
· Excellent client management and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to prioritize and perform successfully under pressure and within deadlines.
· Ability to work in a committed team and supervise junior members.
· A driven, ambitious, and resourceful personality.
· Computer literate.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Greek.
