Overview

On behalf of our client, a long-established engineering company that provides design and manufacturing solutions to the dairy industry, we are seeking to recruit a CNC Operator to join their growing team based in Nicosia.

Role Overview:

The CNC Operator will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of CNC Laser Cutting and Press Machines used in the fabrication of sheet metal components. This role involves reading technical drawings, supervising machine tasks, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining production records. The operator will ensure precise execution of fabrication processes while adhering to safety and quality standards. Training will be provided for all machine operations, and the role includes acting as a substitute for the Cutting Services Manager when required.

Responsibilities:

·      Operation of CNC Laser Cutting Machine (plates, tubes) and CNC press machine.

·      Understand specifications of the task and the desired result by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.

·      Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to provide optimal results.

·      Inspect and measure finished products to determine if the process has been completed properly.

·      Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.

·      Attending workshops and training sessions to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.

·      Act as substitute for the Cutting Services Manager during absences.

Requirements and Desirable Skills:

·      A degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field will be considered an advantage.

·      Previous experience as a CNC Operator or in a related field will be considered an advantage.

·      Strong analytical and creative thinking skills.

·      Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

·      Strong attention to detail.
