On behalf of our client, a progressive and growth-oriented family office, we are seeking to appoint a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to support their continued expansion and operational excellence.

Role Overview
The COO will lead the strategic initiatives of the family office’s operations. The role demands a hands-on, high-calibre operator, ideally with a deep understanding of the financial services industry (especially insurance, asset management, banking, or fintech)and holds at least superficial knowledge about tokenised and digital assets.
The ideal candidate is of a very entrepreneurial nature as it will be their job to drive forward (i) incubated projects and (ii) lead larger scale direct acquisitions and/or search fund strategies we pursue over time, and (iii) ensure the family office operates efficiently, compliantly, and with agility.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
· Drive the strategic growth of the group companies.
· Oversee the setup and scaling of various large projects.
· Identify and lead expansion into new, regulated financial opportunities aligned with the group’s vision.
· Manage, mentor and collaborate with the team members (remote and local).
Financial Oversight
· Manage all financial operations, including reporting, compliance, and audit readiness.
· Oversee fund accounting, capital allocation, and liquidity management.
· Ensure robust internal controls and governance aligned with international best practices.
Regulatory & Operational Excellence
· Oversee compliance with Cypriot and EU financial, investment, and digital asset regulations.
· Develop risk management frameworks suited for both digital and traditional assets.
· Build operational infrastructure for scalable, compliant growth.
Investor & Stakeholder Management
· Communicate clearly with the board of the group and external advisors (law, tax, and audit).
· Represent the family office in discussions with regulators, partners, and co-investors.
Requirements and Desirable Skills:
· Proven senior leadership experience in a scaled start up, family office, asset management firm, or financial institution.
· Strong background in operations with good understanding in finance and compliance. Whilst not required, ideal person can straddle both traditional and digital asset expertise.
· Understanding of EU and Cyprus financial regulation.
· Strategic and growth mindset with the ability to execute hands-on.
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
· Entrepreneurial, ambitious, curious, and adaptable personality.
· Strong command of English is essential.
