Chief Financial Officer

Overview

A leading professional services organisation is seeking to recruit a high calibre, impactful and enthusiastic individual for the position of Chief Financial Officer to be based at its Nicosia office. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will have unique profile-building opportunities and exposure to interaction with the organisation's local and international client base.

The Position

The successful candidate will report to the Board of Directors and participate in Board meetings, providing actionable insights into the organisation’s financial position and demonstrating how the financial direction set by the Board of Directors is achieved.

Key duties include:

·       Preparing and submitting management reports to support decision-making

·       Monitoring investments position, cashflow, financial planning and cost control

·       Managing the budgeting process and performing variance analysis and forecasting

·       Ensuring adherence to all financial, tax and regulatory reporting requirements

·       Reviewing and optimising internal controls and accounting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency

·       Collaborating with department heads to drive financial efficiency, income generation and collections

·       Leading, coaching and managing the Accounting & Finance team

·       Overseeing the preparation of consolidated financial reports and liaising with the organisation’s external auditors

Requirements

·       ACA/ACCA qualified

·       Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in a Finance or Business discipline from a reputable academic institution

·       At least 6 years of relevant working experience in a senior financial management role, preferably   in a professional or financial services organisation

·       Prior experience working within an executive team and interacting with the Board of Directors

·       Capable of leading discussions and negotiating with banks, suppliers, associates and clients

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·       Excellent command of the Greek and English languages both verbally and written

Remuneration

A competitive remuneration package, including discretionary performance related bonus and other benefits will be offered to the successful candidate based on qualifications and experience.
