On behalf of our client, a reputable travel agency based in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Bookkeeper to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for an organised and reliable individual with previous bookkeeping experience who enjoys working in a professional environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records while supporting the day-to-day bookkeeping activities of the business.
Role Overview:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting activities of the Company. The successful candidate will process accounting transactions, reconcile accounts, maintain financial documentation, and ensure that all bookkeeping activities are carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
· Recording daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records.
· Processing supplier invoices and payments.
· Issuing customer invoices and receipts.
· Performing bank, supplier and customer account reconciliations.
· Maintaining the general ledger and supporting month-end accounting activities.
· Monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable.
· Assisting with VAT records and other statutory accounting requirements.
· Maintaining accurate accounting files and supporting documentation.
· Processing accounting entries through the Panasoft Accounting System
· Providing general bookkeeping and administrative support as required.
Requirements and Desirable Skills:
· 3 - 5 years of previous bookkeeping experience.
· Practical experience using the Panasoft Accounting System is essential.
· Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Financeor a related field will be considered an advantage.
· Good knowledge of bookkeeping principles andaccounting procedures.
· Excellent knowledge of Greek and English.
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Excellent organisational and time management skills.
